Can I send unlimited SMS from this site?

In beta phase you can send 3 SMS per day (soon to be 100 per day) and setup 100 SMS reminders like anniversaries and birthdays.

No, this service is only for US and Canada cell phones. To prevent spam and abuse all users are required to sign up using a US or Canada cell phone.



Why do I have to provide my carrier name when I sign up?

This service is based on the carriers free email to SMS gateways and to verify that you can send and receive SMS correctly you need to specify your carrier at sign up. We also get a more reliable service as the gateways are constantly being verified as active which gives users peace of mind that they are not just sending their SMS out into cyberspace.



Is this service anonymous?

All SMS sent from this service will have a return address like your_cell_phone_ number@send3sms.com. This is how you can receive replies to sent SMS. Note: the only thing required to become a member is your cell phone number and carrier information, no other information is asked for or needed to send SMS.



I forgot my password, how can I get a new one?

You can reset your password at any time by following the “Forgot password” link at the sign in screen. A new password will then be sent to your cell phone.



I am a member but have a new cell phone number, do I have to sign up again?

No, simply sign in and change your cell phone number or carrier information at the “My Account” screen.



I do not want to receive SMS messages from anyone within this community.

Reply to any message received from a @send3sms.com address with the text “BLOCK” for immediate block to your cell phone number or contact us at support@send3sms.com and we will block your cell phone number within 24 hours.



Can I send SMS worldwide via this site?

Currently we only offer this service for US and Canada, but shortly you will be able to send and receive SMS worldwide via this service.



Can I receive replies from sent SMS for free?

Yes, any replies can be accessed and managed from your inbox for free. Note: most major carriers provide reply services, but some carriers do not.



How can this service be free?

This site is based on the free email to SMS gateways that most US and Canada carriers provide. It does not cost anything to send a SMS but depending on what service plan the receiver has, there might be a standard fee charged by the carriers for each SMS delivered.



Do you add advertisements to the SMS I send?

We do not add any advertisements to any SMS you send or to any replies you receive.



I cannot sign up because my carrier is not listed.

If your carrier is not listed send us an email and tell us about it at info@send3sms.com. We will add your carrier if they provide a free email to SMS service.



Do you share my personal data with advertisers or other third parties?

No, we will not share your cell phone number or personal data with any third party or advertisers.
